Effective November 15th, Sisqtel.net will no longer provide the Postini e-mail filtering service.

Last year we implemented this free service in order to limit the amount of spam and viruses downloaded onto your computer.  With our conversion to NRTC/TrueBand, e-mail filtering is included in your new webmail service.

On the sisqtel.net home page, www.sisqtel.net, you will find a link to: http://webmail.sisqtel.net. By logging on with your username and password, you can adjust the degree of filtering you desire.  Complete instructions can be found by clicking on Online documentation - Spam Filtering which is located on our home page.

In addition, by using the webmail, (http://webmail.sisqtel.net), you are able to see all of your email before you download it onto your computer. This feature allows you to delete any large email that you may not want to download.

In order to make the transition easiest for you, we suggest that you go into your Postini account, http://login.postini.com, and turn off all filtering.  This will allow all your email to flow into your webmail account. With this done, you will only have to check your webmail account and not both Postini and your webmail.

While our filtering system should stop any e-mail viruses, Sisqtel strongly recommends that you have an anti-virus program on your computer and update it at least weekly.
