What
type of modems does Sisqtel use for their Dial-Up Internet Service?
We
are running 56k V.90 (Flex)
modems at all our Central Office
sites.
All
of our customers should
see connect speeds between 14.4k and 53k depending on their modem and
this
will vary (this is normal).
Important:
Some of
our customers will not be able to utilize 56k technology at this time
because
of their equipment, their location, or the distance from their Central
Office. We cannot, and do not, guarantee any specific connect speed.

type of modems does Sisqtel use for their DSL Internet Service?

I'm
Having Trouble Logging in, why won't it accept my password?
The
most common problem is having the Cap Locks button "ON" when typing in
your password. Make sure the Cap Locks are "OFF". Remember,
your
password in case sensitive. Also, make sure you are using the correct
username
for your account. This is the first part of your email
address, "username"@sisqtel.net.........
Why
do I get disconnected if I leave my computer unattended for 20 minutes?
Your
Internet account includes unlimited "attended" use.
If you leave
your computer unattended for 20 minutes, you will automatically be
disconnected.
This is a standard that the majority of ISP's accross the country have
in use. If you leave your computer unattended, please
disconnect
your Internet session with Sisqtel.
Can
I have two computers connected to Sisqtel Internet at the same time if
I only have One Internet account with Sisqtel?
No!
Your account only allows you to connect 1 computer at a time to
Sisqtel.
If you wish to have two computers connected to the Internet at the same
time then you will need to signup for another Internet account.
How
do I cancel Call Waiting while I'm on the Internet?
Call
Waiting can be disabled for one call at a time. Click on the "Dial
Properties..."
button on your "Connect To" Window. Check the box that says "This
location
has call waiting." To disable it select:70#. When you disconnect from
the
internet, Call Waiting will automatically be restored to your line.

If
you are using Microsoft Internet Mail this is how to edit your reply to
address.
Go
into
Internet Mail.
Click
on "Mail" located across the top of the window between "View" and
"Help".
Scroll
down and select "Options".
Click
on the "Server" tab located across the top of the window between "Read"
and "Fonts".
Click
on the "Advanced Settings" button located at the bottom of the window.
In
the box next to "Reply To:" enter your full e-mail address.
Click
<OK>
Click
<Apply>
Click
<OK>
How
do I publish my web page using Netscape Composer?
Go
into Netscape's Page
Composer. Create your web page and save it with the html extension. Go
to File, then to Publish. A window will pop up and ask for these
settings:
Page Title: enter a title
for your web page (ex. My Home Page)
HTML Filename: this is
the name you saved your web page as with the html extension. This
should
be index.html
FTP Location to publish to:
ftp://ftp.sisqtel.net/home/username/public_html/filename (replace
username
with the first part of your e-mail name - the name in front of the
@sisqtel.net)
(replace filename with the name of your file - example: index.html) For
Windows users, this name will be placed in the upper box under: filename
User name: enter your
username
Password: enter your account
password
After these settings have
been entered press <OK>. If a connection was made with
the server and
everything worked correctly you should get a message saying "your file
was uploaded successfully."
